Why should partners from HUM join our network?
Humans and environments are always already inseparably intertwined. A key contribution from humanities will be to explore, understand and envision ‘Nature-cultures’, e.g., sustainable drug development and consumption as well as sustainable medication practices as historical, spatial, and cultural conjunctions framing past, present and future drug- and medication practices.
Enabling and promoting more sustainable futures of drug production and medication practices will depend deeply on public opinion, new socio-technical developments and innovations, more sustainable repertoires of consumption, and on the mundane practices of taking your daily medicine.
To support a societal and cultural transition towards more sustainable drug production and consumption we therefore also need to understand the everyday drug and medication routines and practices in industrial, clinical as well as everyday settings.
